With favourable weather conditions, fishermen in central localities such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh are happy with high productivity of sardinella.
In each voyage, operating 5-15 nautical miles from the coast, a 2-person craft spending some 6 hours can catch up to 1 ton of sardinella or more. Sold at VND15,000-VND30,000 per kilogram during the season which lasts about 5 months, fishermen earn much profit.
