Hanoi builds accessibility information website for disabled people

(CPV) – The Hanoi People’s Committee has decided to approve the building of a website on accessibility information for people with disabilities, funded by Abilis Foundation of Finland.

The building of the website aims to raise awareness about issues of people with disabilities in the community and boost accessibility in tourism for them. 

The website will introduce tourist attractions and rate accessibility of sites for people with disabilities and communications.

The city People’s Committee also recommended concerned units like restaurant owners, hotels and management board of destinations to renovate works to increase accessibility for all tourists.

The project has a total cost of EUR10,735; of which EUR9,702 is financed by Finland’s Abilis Foundation and EUR1,032 is contributed by Hanoi Disabled People’s Association under the form of working rooms, meeting rooms and office supplies./.
