Photo contest launched on beauty of Ha Long bay

(CPV) - A photo contest titled “Ha Long bay – A world natural heritage” has been launched in Hanoi, to highlight beautiful landscapes, tourism potential and the cultural preservation of Ha Long bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh.

The contest was launched by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and Quang Ninh provincial Association of Literature and Arts to mark the 20^th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of Ha Long bay as a world natural heritage.

Photos must be submitted before October 1, 2014. They must have been taken no earlier than 2012 and all must have been taken by Vietnamese from home or abroad, or foreigners working and living in Vietnam.

The most outstanding entries will be selected for an exhibition at Quang Ninh Museum, which is scheduled to open on October 14./.
