Hoang Sa, Truong Sa exhibition opens in Quang Nam

A collection of objects and documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos are on display at an exhibition which opened in Dong Giang mountainous district, the central province of Quang Nam, on April 23rd.

At the exhibition, delegates listened to an introduction of maps and materials with the theme “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence”. They include maps, documents and publications that are part of historical and legal evidence collected from Vietnam and from countries around the world, including China, contributing to affirm and prove Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Director of Quang Nam provincial Department of Information and Communications Vo Van Tho said that the exhibited maps and materials, which have been discovered by Vietnamese generations, by Vietnamese states during periods, asserting sovereignty continuously, in accordance with international law, are legal evidence of Vietnam’s inseparable territory.
So far, the Ministry of Information and Communications has organized 101 “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence”exhibitions in 63 provinces and cities, 11 islands and island districts, 23 armed force units and one fishery control units.
Such exhibitions were also held in Prague in July 2017, in Paris in October 2018, and in Moscow in November 2018./.
