Da Lat recognized as Festival City of Asia at IFEA

Da Lat, which is renowned for being the city of flowers in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong, was resgconised as the Festival City of Asia at the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) ASIA which was held on February 28 in Thailand.

VOV cited the saying of Dang Quang Tu, chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, the southern city was also selected among the Top 5 Impressive Festival Cities of Asia.
Furthermore, Da Lat Flower Festival was also honoured in the category of Best Asia Flower and Garden Festival.
Located on a plateau around 1,500 metres above sea level, Da Lat enjoys year-round cool weather that is in contrast to Vietnam’s tropical climate.
As one of Vietnam’s largest flower-growing regions, the city is described as a must-visit destination by flower lovers around the world.
The Da Lat Flower Festival was first held in 2005. Then, it has been held every two years to highlight the beauty of the city’s flowers whilst honouring growers and boosting the local flower industry.
The event also serves as a centre for both local and international flower lovers and growers to interact and exchange their experiences, as well as promoting the provincial tourism industry./.
