German film festival KinoFest to come back to local audiences in Vietnam

Recent award-winning films from German cinema will be screened during the Goethe Institute’s annual German film festival KinoFest in Vietnam from October 10 to November 30.

The award-winning film Das Lehrerzimmer (The Teachers' Lounge), a profound and engaging film about truth, justice and how to handle conflicts in school, will open the Kinofest film festival at Hanoi's National Cinema Centre on October 10.

The information was released at a press briefing on the festival in Hanoi on October 8.

The event will feature eight other films for cinema-goers nationwide, namely The Universal Theory; Winners; Life is Not A Competition but I’m Winning; In The Blind Spot; Shahid; Love and Fear; The Crossing; and Checker Tobi and The Journey to The Flying Rivers.

In particular, Checker Tobi and The Journey to the Flying Rivers features the majestic beauty of Son Doong Cave and Lan Ha Bay of Vietnam, as well as the Amazon forest in Brazil. Through the film, messages about environmental protection and the importance of friendship are conveyed to audiences.

The film screening in Hanoi, Hue, Ho Chi Minh city and Binh Duong will help audiences to explore the perspective of younger people in a rapidly changing world.

Those films will be screened with German, Turkish, Polish, English, and Vietnamese subtitles. Tickets are to be sold for VND20,000 each which are suitable for audiences, especially students./.
