Outdoor film screenings and film artist exchanges at pedestrian street near by Hoan Kiem lake

Within the framework of upcoming seventh Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII), there will be three outdoor film screenings for the audience at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hanoi.
The seventh Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VII) will take place
from November 7 to 11.

On this occasion, audience will also have an opportunity to meet, exchange and chat directly with some film crews.

A total of 42 local movies, including feature films, short films, and contemporary feature films, will compete in three categories at the film festival November 7 to 11.

The festival aims to honour the best movies and new talents whilst encouraging co-operation among producers and delegates. It can also serve as a venue for the celebration and betterment of both Vietnamese and international cinema, as well as providing a chance for local and foreign filmmakers to meet and exchange experience and thoughts with each other.

The organisation board has selected 500 films from 40 countries and territories to compete in the film fest.

Ngày Xưa Có Một Chuyện Tình” film will compete in the Feature Films category 

Among them, the only one local movie competing in the Feature Films category is “Ngày Xưa Có Một Chuyện Tình” (“Love Upon a Time”), which is adapted from a novel by best-selling author Nguyen Nhat Anh.

“Love Upon a Time”, directed by Trinh Dình Le Minh, tells the story of romantic love and the journey of personal growth by the main characters.

Meanwhile, eight short films and 33 contemporary feature will be compete at the event.

Screenings of the participating movies will take place at CGV’s cinema, BHD Star Cineplex at Vincom Centre Pham Ngoc Thach, and the walking street in the capital./.
