Over 2 billion VND raised for people in flood-hit areas at arts performance

Hanoi Radio and Television has held an arts performance to raise money for people in flood-hit areas in northern Vietnam.

Accordingly, more than 2 billion VND has been raised at the event.  The money will be handled by the Hanoi Radio and Television in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and local authorities in constructing construction of safe learning facilities for children in Nu Village in Phuc Khanh Commune, Bao Yen District, Lao Cai Province, and some other landslide and flood-affected areas in mountainous and midland provinces.

The money will also be used to install clean water systems for people in areas affected by storms and floods.

The performance drew the participation of singers Dong Hung, Nam Tuoc, Y Garia Enuol and members of the Dong Thoi Gian Orchestra and Ha Noi Tre dance troupe.

It featured songs and dances praising the tradition of solidarity, mutual support and compassion of the Vietnamese people, particularly during the country’s difficult periods of time./.
