Ton Duc Thang Museum began serving visitors from July 25

Delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ton Duc Thang.

The event was organized by Ton Duc Thang Museum in coordination with the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of Civil and Industrial Works in Ho Chi Minh City. The activity aimed at celebrating the 136th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2024); arousing national pride and faith in the Party, honoring the image of President Ton Duc Thang and inaugurating the project "New construction of Ton Duc Thang Museum".

According to the plan, the museum will organize activities to visit, offer flowers and incense to President Ton Duc Thang from July 25.

Ton Duc Thang Museum was established on the 100th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birth (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 1988). After 32 years of operation with degraded facilities, in October 2020, the City started construction of the project "New construction of Ton Duc Thang Museum" which include 1 basement and 4 upper floors with a height of 20m, an area of more than 1,700 m2, and total floor area of more than 8,551 m2.

Director of Ton Duc Thang Museum Pham Thanh Nam said that the new construction of the museum aims to meet the requirements of innovating the museum's activities, creating new exhibition space, expanding the area of storage and specialized warehouses. Exhibition topics about President Ton Duc Thang as well as other related cultural history topics.The new project is worthy of traditional education about the great contributions of President Ton Duc Thang to the cause of struggle for independence for the nation and peace for the world./.
