Vietnam again honored as World’s Leading Heritage Destination

The World Travel Awards has announced Vietnam as the World’s Leading Heritage Destination in 2024. This is the fifth time Vietnam has been honored in this category after 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023.
This year, Vietnam has surpassed other candidates for this category such as Armenia, Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Japan and Saudi Arabia to win this prestigious award.
The title of World's Leading Heritage Destination once again affirms Vietnam’s potential and leading attraction in terms of unique heritage values with a system of nine world natural and cultural heritages, 15 intangible cultural heritages and 10 documentary heritages honored by UNESCO.

By maintaining the title of World’s Leading Heritage Destination, Vietnam will continue to promote and attract international visitors to explore the beautiful country with its long-standing cultural heritage values, creating momentum for comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism recovery and development in the coming time.
In addition to the title of World’s Leading Heritage Destination 2024, Vietnam also has local destinations winning world-leading awards.
Hanoi received the title “World's Leading Tourism Management Agency 2024”. Phu Quoc Island in the Southern province of Kien Giang won the title of “World's Leading Natural Island Destination 2024”. Ha Nam won the “Special Achievement Award 2024” while Tam Dao won the title of “World's Leading Tourist Town 2024”, along with many other world-leading award categories for outstanding Vietnamese aviation, travel and tourism businesses./.
