Highest Amitabha Buddha statue in Vietnam

On November 28, the Vietnam Record Organization awarded a certificate for the highest Amitabha Buddha statue in Vietnam in Tong Lam Lo Son Temple, Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

The superior Buddhist monk Thich Trung Thi, standing member of managing committee of Khanh Hoa provincial Buddhism association and the manager of the Tong Lam Lo Son Temple said: “The concrete statue is 44.8m high, built by design engineer Le Dong Thuyen and sculptors Thuy Lam and Ho Van Den from 2009-2012 at the cost of over VND6 billion (USD300,000).

The Vietnam Record Organisation has recognised the highest Amitabha Buddha statue in Vietnam from November 28, 2012 and it is being recorded in the annual yearbook records.

After its recognisation, the statue will be a destination attracting Budhists and tourists across the country./.
