Các địa phương và cơ quan đại diện ngoại giao của các nước đề nghị Việt Nam cho phép 7.258 lao động nước ngoài, chủ yếu từ Trung Quốc, Nhật Bản và Hàn Quốc, vào Việt Nam. Họ là những chuyên gia đang làm việc cho các dự án trọng điểm quốc gia của Việt Nam hoặc các dự án ứng dụng công nghệ mới do các tập đoàn đa quốc gia đầu tư.
Người nước ngoài cùng Việt Nam đánh Covid-19
Vietnam is having a difficult time fully containing the spread of Covid-19 and there have been many community infections over the last few days. Joining the solidarity and compassion of local people and organisations are foreign friends keen to do their bit.
Anxious about the recurrence of Covid-19 in Vietnam, with hundreds of new cases linked to the outbreak in the central city of Da Nang, Wayne Worrell, a British expat, called on friends to make a poster of more 40 photos with the message that people should wear face masks to protect community health, reported VNA.
To help raise awareness about proactively tackling the pandemic, Wayne and his friends also plan to join local people in a campaign to distribute face masks and protect community health.
Wayne and his friends from a charitable organisation in Hanoi have already given out more than 3,000 face masks./.
EU, US consumers keen on Vietnamese tuna, shrimp
According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), there remains a growing demand for canned and processed seafood products in both the United States and EU markets, despite the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Following a long period of enduring a downward trajectory, Vietnamese tuna exports to the EU enjoyed a rise of nearly 65% in July.
This growth has served to boost the proportion of total local tuna exports to the EU market throughout the seven-month period to more than 20%.
Most notably, the nation’s tuna exports to three major EU markets, including Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, in July witnessed impressive growth of 119%, 200%, and 210%, respectively.
According to a number of local businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic has reduced the supply sources of tuna from countries such as Ecuador, the US, and Italy, thereby creating greater opportunities for Vietnamese tuna exports to these markets.
The VASEP therefore forecasts that the export of canned tuna will continue to increase considerably, despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 globally, reported VOV.
Meanwhile, shrimp exports to the US increased sharply in July, reaching a figure of approximately US$389 million, representing an annual rise of 16%, increasing total shrimp exports throughout the seven-month period by 8% to US$1.9 billion.
