Fine art ceramic exports during the 11-month period dropped by 37.5% to US$131.85 million against the same period from last year.
The 10-month fine art ceramics exports to the EU account for 34.7% of the country's total export turnover, hitting US$39.46 million, a decline of 39.3% on-year.
Among the markets in the EU bloc, the market share of Vietnamese fine arts ceramics in Denmark makes up the largest proportion.
Meanwhile, fine art ceramic exports to the United States during the 10-month period accounted for 32.9% of the country's total export turnover with US$37.40 million, down 48.3% on-year.

In the US market, the nation currently ranks fifth behind the likes of China, Portugal, Mexico, Italy, and Thailand, with its market share over the past nine months of the year falling to 3.1% compared to fourth place when the figure was at 4.2% during the same period last year.
Vietnamese exports of fine-art ceramics ahead over the coming months are anticipated to continue encountering numerous challenges.
According to industry insiders, in addition to traditional export markets, local businesses are required to focus on tapping into other markets such as China, India, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and Brazil.
Event marks 10th anniversary of Don Ca Tai Tu’s UNESCO recognition
Ho Chi Minh City held a programme on December 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of UNESCO’s inscription of Don Ca Tai Tu on the representative list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity, said the Nhan Dan newspaper.

Don Ca Tai Tu is a form of folk singing and music developed in southern Vietnam since the late 19th century based on royal ceremonial music.
The art is characteristic of the hardworking, independent and honest southern people, with the elaborate combination of lovely melodies, beautiful lyrics and pleasing sounds of instruments.
In the past ten years, Ho Chi Minh City has made ceaseless efforts to protect and promote the value of this unique art form.
Speaking at the programme, Ho Chi Minh City Vice Chairman Duong Anh Duc said the city has implemented many contests, festivals, and programmes as playgrounds for Don Ca Tai Tu enthusiasts and to look for young talents.
The city also organised activities to teach the art form in schools and the community and promote it in the mass media to raise public awareness of Don Ca Tai Tu’s value.
On the occasion, Ho Chi Minh City presented certificates of merit to the individuals with significant contributions to the protection of Don Ca Tai Tu in the past ten years.
Sichuan Airlines reopens Chengdu-Hanoi route
Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines has relaunched its regular direct route between Chengdu and Hanoi, with a flight landing at Noi Bai International Airport on December 8 afternoon, according to the Nhan Dan newspaper.
The event marks the development of the international route network between Vietnam and China.
According to Deputy Director of Noi Bai International Airport Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the Chengdu-Hanoi route is expected to boost trade and tourism between the two localities.
Zhang Chang Heng, chief representative of Sichuan Airlines in Vietnam, said Hanoi has a rich history and that Chengdu people wish to come here for sightseeing, enjoy food and conduct cultural exchange with Vietnamese people.

The route will also make it easier for Vietnamese people to visit wonders in China, such as Jiuzhaigou and Zhangjiajie, and enjoy Sichuan cuisine.
Sichuan Airlines operates one daily round-trip flight between the two cities using the Airbus A320/A321 aircraft, with a flight time of about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Currently, Sichuan Airlines is the only carrier to operate the Chengdu-Hanoi route and is one of the six airlines with routes connecting Hanoi with Chinese cities.
Over US$719 mln to be invested in HCMC-Thu Dau Mot-Chon Thanh expressway
The People's Council of Binh Duong Province has passed a Resolution on investment policy for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, said the Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper.
The 45.7-kilometer-long expressway was designed to have speed of 100 kilometers per hour, divided into two phases with a preliminary total investment of more than VND17,408 billion (US$719 million) including loan interest.

The project will be invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), Build - Operate - Transfer (BOT) contract, expected to be implemented in the period 2023-2027.
According to Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province Vo Van Minh, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project is the North-South expressway axis of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces and connects to Dak Nong province’s Gia Nghia expressway and Binh Phuoc province’s Chon Thanh expressway. The project plays a very important role in socio-economic development associated with strengthening national security and defense of the Southeastern and Central Highlands regions./.
