Party official confirms desire to further develop relationship with Hungary

(CPV) – Vietnam attaches great importance to and desires to continue to develop the Vietnam – Hungary comprehensive partnership, as well as the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Alliance Party.

So said Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, while receiving First Officer of the Hungarian National Assembly Márta Mátrai on January 20.

During the reception, Mr. Vo Van Thuong welcomed Ms. Márta Mátrai's visit to Vietnam, evaluating the visit as having an important meaning, contributing to promoting cooperation between the two National Assemblies in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and Hungary in general. He thanked Hungary for the valuable support that Hungary has given Vietnam in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic; and highly appreciated the positive results of the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

He also confirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to and desires to continue to develop the Vietnam – Hungary comprehensive partnership, as well as the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Alliance Party.

Showing her pleasure to visit Vietnam and receive a warm welcome, Ms. Márta Mátrai recognized important results in bilateral cooperation, stressing that Hungary attaches great importance to its relationship with Vietnam, considering Vietnam a leading and important partner in Southeast Asia.

The two sides briefed each other on the situation of their respective parties and countries, and exchanged experience in Party building, the pandemic combat, economic recovery and national development.

They also compared notes on measures to foster relations between the Parties and the two countries in the coming time./.
