(CPV) - The two sides affirmed their importance and determination to continue promoting the cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF), as well as the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

They also agreed to make the cooperation develop effectively, for the benefit of the two peoples, and for peace and stability in the region and in the world.
On the framework of this visit to Vietnam for presenting CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong the Lenin Prize, a delegation from the KPRF led by its Vice Chairman Leonid Kalashnikov was received by Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat.
The delegation was also received by Tran Tuan Anh, Politburo member and Head of the PCC Commission on Economics; Nguyen Khac Dinh, PCC member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Vietnam – Russia Parliamentarian Group; and Le Hoai Trung, PCC member and Head of the PCC Commission of External Affairs.
During the reception, the two sides informed each other about the situation of each Party and country, and exchanged measures to promote cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries in the coming time. They affirmed their importance and determination to continue promoting the cooperation between the CPV and the KPRF, as well as the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation to develop effectively, for the benefit of the two peoples, for peace and stability in the region and in the world./.
