A ceremony was organized on October 24th by the Ho Chi Minh city Youth Union to inaugurate and put into operation the Ho Chi Minh city Student Cultural House in the urban area of Vietnam National University - VNU Ho Chi Minh city.

The project started construction in late December 2014 on 3.55ha in Di An town, Binh Duong province with total capital of 420 billion VND, invested by the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee and People’s Committee to be presented to students of the city. It also aims to mark the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of pupils and students.
The house is designed in a hexagon shape, including a 7-storey building with a total construction area of 30,000m2.
Inside the building is equipped with modern facilities and convenient services such as conference room; hall; computer room; recording studio; theater; rooms for household arts, counseling, drama, dance, foreign languages, exercise and library; multifunctional sports ground; rooms for clubs/teams/groups; and outdoor stage to serve cultural needs of tens of thousands of students from Vietnam National University - VNU Ho Chi Minh city.
The urban area is now home of 55,000 students from seven member universities of Vietnam National University - VNU Ho Chi Minh city and two neighboring universities./.
