At the forum, delegates focused on discussing green tourism, sustainable economic development, sustainable and livable cities, environmentally sustainable cities and climate resilience.
During this visit, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation also met and worked with the Vientiane People's Council.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Thanh Kien acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the people of Laos under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. He expressed confidence that Laos would continue to develop peacefully, independently, autonomously and prosperously.
He affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City always values, preserves and enhances the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, particularly between HCMC and Vientiane and other Lao localities. This contributes to strengthening the solidarity between localities and effectively implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and the Vientiane People's Council.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the contents of the MoU signed in April 2024 between the two councils. This includes cooperation in sharing experiences on legal oversight, tourism development, agriculture development, and education and training in Vientiane./.
