Ho Chi Minh City enhances cooperation with Lao province

So said Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, during a reception for Mr. Khamsay Saysompheng, Secretary of the Houaphanh Provincial Party Committee, Governor of the province, on May 23, during his visit to Ho Chi Minh City.

During the reception, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc said that on the basis of the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, in recent years, Ho Chi Minh City and Lao localities have regularly exchanged working groups, carried out friendly cooperative activities, and signed memorandums of cooperation.

“The relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and localities in Laos is widely deployed, bringing positive results and benefits to both localities,” he added.

Mr. Khamsay Saysompheng respectfully thanked Ho Chi Minh City for its dedicated support and assistance to Houaphanh province in recent times, especially in supporting the building of infrastructure and the headquarters of the provincial government.

Sharing the development potential of Houaphanh province, Mr. Khamsay Saysompheng expressed his hope that in the coming time, Houaphanh province and Ho Chi Minh City will continue to promote the comprehensive cooperative relationship. He suggested that Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders encourage businesses to invest in Houaphanh province, especially in areas where Huaphanh has demand and the city has strengths such as agricultural development, infrastructure construction and development of human resources./.
