Lai Chau Province promotes high-tech agricultural production cooperation with Israel

Lai Chau Province introduced potentials and opportunities for cooperation, shared experience, and enhanced technological solutions in the agricultural field between the province and Israeli and international partners and businesses, during the workshop "Israel - Lai Chau hi-tech agricultural solutions" held on June 13.

The workshop was expected to help businesses in Lai Chau Province find effective solutions to operate and develop local agriculture in the direction of modernization.

Speaking at the workshop, Tong Thanh Hai, Standing Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, gave a general overview of geographical conditions, socio-economic development situation in the province, potentials and strengths in agriculture.

He expressed his wish that the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and Israeli businesses would be interested in exploring investment opportunities, and supporting the province in implementing educational cooperation programs; transfer smart production technology for drip irrigation combined with fertilizer; transfer technology to build a system of greenhouses, nurseries and open fields to help businesses in the province promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity to contribute to socio-economic development, ensure national defense - security, and improve living standards for ethnic minorities in the province.

At the workshop, Mr. Nadav Eshcar, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam, highly appreciated the cooperation, especially in the field of high-tech agriculture, and affirmed that Israel is ready to support the province to bring new and modern technologies to support farmers.

The two sides spent a lot of time discussing high-tech agriculture - Israel's strength. Representatives of four Israeli agricultural enterprises introduced high-tech agricultural models such as family greenhouses, household irrigation systems, household organic gas solutions, and organic waste into electricity system./.
