At the meetings, Mr. Dinh Tien Dung conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes of health from the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to the leaders of Laos; congratulated Laos on the great, comprehensive achievements of historical significance it has won after more than 35 years of renovation; and expressed the trust that with the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the administration of the Government, and the supervision of the National Assembly, Laos will continue to achieve new and greater achievements.
Reporting to Lao leaders on the results of his talks in the morning of the same day with Secretary of the Vientiane City Party Committee Anouphap Tounalom, Mr. Dinh Tien Dung said that the two sides had agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation for the period of 2022 -2025, affirming that this is an important step, creating a framework for cooperation activities between the two capitals in the new period. He emphasized that Hanoi capital always gives high priority to developing friendly and cooperative relations with localities of Laos, especially Vientiane capital.
Expressing his pleasure to welcome the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and a high-ranking delegation of Hanoi city to visit and work in the capital Vientiane on the occasion of Laos and Vietnam looking towards the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and 45 years after signing the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the talks between Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and Secretary of the Vientiane City Party Committee Anouphap Tounalom; and affirmed that the results of cooperation over the past time and the documents signed between the two capitals continue to deepen the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two cities, the States and people of the two countries Vietnam - Laos.

Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan highly appreciated the cooperation results between Hanoi and Vientiane and other localities of Laos over the years; affirmed that the visit of the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi city once again deepened the comprehensive relationship between Vietnam and Laos; and expressed his wish that Hanoi with its management experience will share and help Vientiane capital as well as Laos' localities to develop more and more in the coming time.

At the cordial reception for Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and the Hanoi delegation, Lao National Assembly Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane expressed his delight at the good cooperation between the two countries’ youngsters being increasingly strengthened and expanded; and highly appreciated Hanoi for its practical contributions and support to the localities of Laos.
The Lao National Assembly Chairman also highly appreciated the results of the talks between the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and the Secretary of the Vientiane Party Committee, and highlighted in the cooperation agreement the content of enhancing experience sharing between the Hanoi People's Council and the Vientiane Capital People's Council in the development of legal documents, supervision and decision on important issues, as well as experience in organizing activities of the People's Council./.
