At the talks, leaders of the two localities discussed and exchanged contents of cooperation between the two sides in the coming time.
Regarding the exchange of delegations, the two sides agreed to annually organize a rotation of working delegations to visit and work together to discuss and evaluate the results of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, and propose cooperation contents in the next year.
In terms of investment and trade, the two sides will support businesses to visit and explore opportunities for investment and trade cooperation; and organize investment and trade forums, conferences and seminars in each locality.
Regarding culture and tourism, the two sides agreed to organize tour routes between the two localities, especially golf tours; research and open charter flights between Nghe An and Gwangju; and organize groups of artists to perform on the occasion of major events organized by the two localities.
In science and technology and health, the two sides will support start-ups, especially in the field of technology; and share experiences in technology management and development. They will also exchange and train specialist doctors; organize delegations of doctors from Gwangju city to carry out charity medical examination and treatment combined with tourism in remote areas of Nghe An province.
In education and training, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation between universities; and create the most favorable conditions for Nghe An students to study at Gwangju's universities. Every year, the two localities exchange civil servants to work in each side for a short term of 3-6 months; while organizing groups of students to exchange friendship and learn about each side's culture.
At the talks, the two localities agreed to complement each other to develop together for the prosperity and happiness of the people. Leaders of the two localities believed that the field of cooperation between the two localities was not only included in the cooperation deal but also expanded in all fields in the following years.
The year 2022 is the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the RoK. Recently, in September 2022, Nghe An province organized a working delegation to visit and work in Gwangju city, marking a turning point in the relationship between the two localities to heighten the cooperative and friendly relationship./.
