Quang Nam province strengthens cooperation with Cuban localities

During a meeting with the delegation, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, First Secretary of the Matanzas Provincial Party Committee, introduced the local potential and strengths, emphasizing the need to strengthen relations in all areas between Cuban and Vietnamese localities, particularly in Party building and political-ideological work.

Mr. Dung highlighted the potential for cooperation between the two localities in fields such as tourism, agriculture, industry, forestry, healthcare and education.

As part of the visit, the Quang Nam delegation met with Emilio Lozada García, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and Head of the Cuban Party Central Committee's Foreign Relations Department. He highly appreciated the visit by Nguyen Duc Dung and the Quang Nam delegation, reinforcing the special bond of friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

Mr. Dung stated that the purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences in Party building, promote trade and investment cooperation, and further implement the Joint Declaration made during the recent State visit to Cuba by General Secretary and President To Lam.

During their visit, the delegation also met with Cuban hero Fernando González Llort, President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples. Both parties affirmed their determination to enhance relations between the friendship organizations of the two countries and emphasized the importance of educating younger generations about the long-standing solidarity and friendship between Cuba and Vietnam.

Throughout the meetings, Mr. Dung expressed deep gratitude for the sincere and selfless support of the Cuban people during Vietnam's struggle for national defense and development. He reaffirmed that Vietnam will always stand by Cuba in all circumstances.

The Quang Nam delegation also visited and presented gifts to students at Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, visited the Vietnamese Embassy and laid a wreath at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the park named after him in Havana./.
