On December 6, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee Commission of Mass Mobilization, held online talks with Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun, Politburo member and Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction.
The talks aimed to discuss the situation of each Party and each country; the mass mobilization work of each Party; and the cooperation relationship between two agencies in the past time, and agreed on the direction of cooperation in the coming time, contributing to consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
At the talks, Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun expressed congratulations for the success of the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam; congratulated Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai on being elected as Secretary of the Party Central Committee and holding the position of Head of the Party Central Committee Commission of Mass Mobilization; and congratulated Vietnam on the great, comprehensive and historically significant achievements it has made in the Doi Moi (renewal) process. “The achievements of Vietnam are a great source of encouragement and experience for Laos in the cause of national construction and development,” he said.
He expressed his delight at the deepening and effective Laos-Vietnam relations in all fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of each country. He also sent thanks to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for giving the Party, State and people of Laos great, righteous, sincere and effective help during the past time.
For her part, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her pleasure to talk with Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun for the first time; and sent her best wishes to Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun, Lao leaders and the entire Lao people on the occasion of 46 years of National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2021) ).
She congratulated the Lao Front for National Construction on successfully organizing the 11th National Congress and Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun on being elected President of the Lao Front for National Construction.
She informed of the situation in Vietnam, Vietnam-Laos relations, mass mobilization work, and the implementation of the agreement between the two agencies in the period 2016-2020 and the orientations of cooperation in the period 2021-2025.
During the talks, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai and Mr. Sinlavong Khutphaythoun agreed on the direction of coordination in the coming time.
In which, the two sides agreed to promote the exchange of delegations when the COVID-19 pandemic is under control; continue to coordinate in encouraging people, especially the young generation of the two countries, to preserve and cultivate the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos; and fight against distorting claims of hostile forces against the two Parties and two States and those dividing Vietnam-Laos relations.
The two sides continue to closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums in the region and in the international arena; and closely coordinate in directing, supporting and creating favorable conditions for the mass mobilization agencies at all levels of Vietnam and Laos./.
