Vietnam, Cambodia strengthen mass mobilization work

Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Mass Mobilization, on November 29 held an online talk with Men Xom On, a member of the Cambodian Party Standing Committee, Head of the Cambodian Party Committee Commission on Mobilization, and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister.

Promoting friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia

The talks aimed to discuss the situation of each Party and each country; the mass mobilization work of each Party; the cooperation relationship between the two Commissions on Mass Mobilization over the past time, and agreed on the direction of cooperation in the coming time, contributing to cultivating and consolidating the good neighborly relationship, the traditional friendship, and comprehensive, long-term sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

During the talks, Men Xom On congratulated the Vietnamese Party, State and people for the great achievements made in recent years; and highly appreciated the increasingly consolidated and developed Cambodia-Vietnam relations.

She informed about the political, socio-economic and foreign affairs situation; Cambodia's COVID-19 prevention and control; the Cambodian People's Party's mass mobilization work in the past time and the focus of its work in the coming time, including the mass mobilization work. She also expressed her thanks to the Vietnamese Party, State and people for helping the Cambodian people escape the genocidal Pol Pot regime.

For her part, Bui Thi Minh Hoai congratulated the Cambodian Party, State and people  on the great and important achievements in all fields made over the past time; expressed her belief that the Cambodian people will overcome difficulties, continue to gain many new achievements, and bring Cambodia to a prosperous development.

She also said she was delighted at the continuously strengthened Vietnam - Cambodia relations, making an important contribution to maintaining the stability and development of each country.

She stressed the significance of enhancing the solidarity and cooperation between the two countries, Parties and commissions to stability and development in each country, as well as peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.

The two sides agreed to step up the communications work to encourage people, especially the young generations, to further consolidate the bilateral ties.

They will also increase delegation exchange and information sharing in mass mobilisation, while providing mutual support in regional and international issues of shared concern.

They will pay more heed to mass mobilisation collaboration in localities that share the border line./.
