The program aimed to raise community awareness on practical topics such as personal hygiene education, prevention of mosquito-borne diseases, and food safety. The hospital soldiers overcame language and cultural barriers to effectively deliver public health messages, helping students and teachers better understand the importance of these issues.
In addition to educational sessions, the event featured vibrant interactive activities like coloring, sack races and tug-of-war. The joyful moments and enthusiastic competition among Vietnamese soldiers and students created a strong bond, deepening the connection between the two sides.
The hospital also brought meaningful gifts, including pens, notebooks and crayons, which were personally handed out to teachers and students. These small but heartfelt gifts served as encouragement for the teachers and students to continue their educational journey, contributing to a brighter future for South Sudan.
This engagement activity not only strengthened solidarity and friendship, but also highlighted Vietnam’s active role in international peacekeeping missions. It showcased the image of compassionate and peace-loving Vietnamese blue beret soldiers, serving as a symbol of humanitarianism and dedication to global peace./.
