She made the statement on December 21 while receiving and having talks with a delegation from Tochigi Prefecture led by its Governor, Mr. Fukuda Tomikazu.
During the talks, Ms. Lan confirmed that Vinh Phuc has well organized the implementation of the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding on friendship and cooperation between the two localities signed at the end of November 2021.
She added she hoped that in the coming time, the two provinces will maintain well-connected activities, exchange information, and strengthen cooperation in economy, culture, tourism, education-training, labor-employment, high-tech agriculture, and friendly high-tech industry.
She suggested Mr. Fukuda Tomikazu pay attention to and create favorable conditions for Vinh Phuc to open a representative office in Tochigi province, support the promotion of the investment environment, and organize investment promotion, training and professional improvement programs in Japan for officials and employees from Vinh Phuc.
She also wished to promote educational connection and cooperation between universities and colleges of the two provinces; support the transfer of technology and techniques in farming, processing, preserving, distributing and consuming agricultural products.
Vinh Phuc is willing to create conditions for Tochigi to open a representative office and attract Japanese investors, to reserve an industrial park with synchronous technical infrastructure investment for investors from Tochigi Prefecture.
In 2023, Vinh Phuc province will send a delegation to visit and implement specific activities under the Investment Promotion Cooperation Agreement signed at the meeting.
For his part, Mr. Fukuda Tomikazu informed that Tochigi prefecture has strengths in the fields of manufacturing, healthcare, tourism and agriculture, and has 20 investment enterprises in Vietnam.
In the coming time, Tochigi and Vinh Phuc will further promote exchange activities, economic, cultural and tourism cooperation.
Tochigi will implement well the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding, creating the best conditions for businesses of Vinh Phuc in particular and Vietnam in general to invest in production and business effectively in Tochigi.
At the meeting, leaders of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee introduced an overview of the investment environment, mechanisms, policies and projects prioritized to attract investment.
Leaders of Vinh Phuc Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Industry, Labor and Tourism of Tochigi Province and Sumitomo Group, the owner of Thang Long Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc, signed an Investment Promotion Cooperation Agreement./.
