(CPV)- To mark 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), some 200 pictures, documents were exhibited to show the friendly and cooperative relations as well as the union between the Parties and people were shown in an exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

The exhibit highlights the cooperative union between Vietnam and DPRK through friendship visits by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kim Il-sung, General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and other leaders of the DPRK Party and State.

The exhibition also introduced the country of the DPRK to audiences, its culture, history as well as its achievements during the past 60 years of national defense and construction.

On 31 January 1950, the DPRK was one of first countries establishing diplomatic relations with Vietnam. Since then, the relationship between the two Parties, Governments and people has continued to develop.

President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the DPRK in 1957 and two subsequent visits by President Kim Il-sung to Vietnam in 1958 and 1964 laid the firm foundation for friendly relations between the two countries.
