Brocade weaving by ethnic minority people

(CPV) – Having lived for a long time along Truong Son Range, Ta Oi, Cotu, and Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority people have established and maintained different forms of unique traditional culture. Brocade weaving is a typical cultural characteristic that reflects deeply the people’s life and culture.

The public get to know about the unique brocade weaving by people from Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam provinces at an event at the Hanoi-based Cultural Tourism Village of ethnic groups in Vietnam.
The long-term culture of Cotu, Ta Oi and Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority people creates unique characteristics.
The Co Tu and Ta Oi are currently ethnic minority groups that still preserve the most weaving and costume profession compared to some ethnic groups in Truong Son Range. The brocade weaving of these two ethnic groups has been included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
