The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program started in Quang Ninh in 2013, inheriting the results and experiences from Japan's "One Village One Product" program.
From the initial results, by 2018, the Government approved and implemented a series of programs nationwide. Up to now, the country has about 5,000 OCOP products, making a great contribution to promoting the economic structure of rural areas, fulfilling the common national goal of building a new rural area for sustainable development.
In the central region, after 3 years of implementing the program, localities have also achieved many positive results, building hundreds of OCOPs associated with typical cultural identities and traditions of each region, gaining very high economic efficiency.
