International Charity Bazaar 2017 took place in Cairo, Egypt, on November 11th, attracting the participation of local people and members of Asian diplomatic missions in Egypt.

This annual humanitarian activity to bring together cultures was organized by the Asian Ambassadors' Spouses Association and the Egyptian Charity Association.
The event was attended by 1,000 people to learn about various cultures and cuisines with over 50 stalls by nearly 20 Asian nations including Vietnam, China, Japan, India, Thailand and Cambodia.
During the bazaar various activities were held, such as cultural, art exchanges, introduction of national featured products and tourism promotion were organized.
At the event, the Women's Union of the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt prepared food and handicraft booths, as well as brochures about the country and people of Vietnam.
“Today I went to Vietnam’s stall at Conrad Hotel and enjoyed spring rolls, I was also impressed by the delicious “pho” of Vietnam. I also love your culture, a culture that is close,"said Mr. Mohamed, an Egyptian.
Emphasizing the significance of participation in the event, Mr. Vu Thien, Deputy Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt, said that this activity had great significance. It contributed to humanitarian activities of the Asian diplomatic corps to Egypt and through the activity, countries introduced their cultures and cuisines to local people and visitors in Cairo.
The proceeds from the bazaar will be donated directly to the Egyptian charity fund for social activities to support those in need, thus representing the spirit of international solidarity and shared by the Asian diplomatic corps to the host country of Egypt./.
