Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül was pleased to welcome the ASEAN Ambassadors, especially Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Quang Tuyen, who was paying his second visit to Gaziantep province.
He emphasized that Gaziantep is a province with strengths in both agriculture and industry, Mr. Davut Gül desired the Ambassadors to be a bridge to promote the province's potentials and strengths with partners of each country.

Thanking the Governor for the warm welcome, Ambassador Tran Quang Tuyen expressed his pleasure to return to Gaziantep - an important trade center since ancient times, one of the major manufacturing zones of Turkey and a place rich in history and culture.
At the same time, Ambassador Tuyen hoped that the cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey in general, and with Gaziantep province in particular, would be promoted in the post-COVID-19 period.
At the meeting with the Ambassadors, Ms. Fatma Şahin, Mayor of Gaziantep city (capital of Gaziantep province), said that Gaziantep province has great potential with many famous agricultural products, so Gaziantep province wishes to seek cooperation, investment and business opportunities with ASEAN countries.
For Vietnam, she hopes to boost trade promotion activities to introduce potentials and strengths for cooperation between Gaziantep province and Vietnamese localities.
Ms. Fatma Şahin wanted the Embassy to introduce and connect so that Gaziantep province can strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
Also during the business trip, Ambassador Tran Quang Tuyen attended the meeting between the ASEAN Ambassadors and the Gaziantep Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the meeting, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that this visit was a meaningful and practical activity to give Turkish businesses the opportunity to learn about the investment and business environment in ASEAN in general and Vietnam in particular.
On this occasion, the Vietnamese Ambassador introduced the cooperation situation between Vietnam and Turkey in the fields of politics, economy, culture and tourism.
The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted bilateral cooperation in all fields, but there has been positive sign in the relations between the two countries, especially economic and trade cooperation, including Vietnamese business imports of material from Gaziantep province to produce face masks for the COVID-19 pandemic prevention.
Ambassador Tuyen affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey is ready to be a bridge to support Turkish businesses in general and businesses in Gaziantep province in particular to cooperate, invest and seek partners in Vietnam./.
