During the receptions, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz - Governor of Tabuk province and Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz - Governor of Al Jouf province both expressed their pleasure to first welcome the Vietnamese embassy's delegation to visit.
The two governors expressed their admiration for the Vietnamese people who were brave and resilient in the struggle for national liberation in the past and have made many achievements in national construction and development today. They believed and wished the embassy to be an effective bridge between the Vietnamese business community and the business community of the two provinces.
On this occasion, the embassy's delegation had working sessions with leaders of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of these two provinces.
Tabuk introduced its potential in tourism, with many world-famous heritage sites; agricultural products, especially roses; and the big project of Neom city in the province that is in the process of being formed, so Tabuk is the place to supply labour, services and food for Neom city, and looks forward to cooperating with Vietnam in tourism, exporting rose products and agriculture.
Meanwhile, Al Jouf also introduced its potential in the intercity tourism chain, and as the largest producer of olive fruit and oil in Saudi Arabia, rich in date fruit and lavender, it looks forward to cooperating with Vietnam in the fields which the province has strengths.
The delegation collaborated with the two Chambers of Commerce and Industry to introduce exported sample batches of nearly 60 Vietnamese enterprises, Vietnam's tourism potential, meet local businesses, and introduce the handbook “Introductory Products for Export from Vietnam” published by the embassy.
The delegation also noted a number of suggestions and comments from business representatives of the two provinces on gradually introducing Vietnamese products to the Saudi Arabian market on a broader and more solid scale through local supermarket chains, meeting the regulations on quality standards and food hygiene and safety.
The delegation also responded to some issues Saudi Arabian businesses raised, made some direct connections between businesses of the two countries; and agreed with Saudi Arabia that Vietnam will continue to update the list of goods that Vietnamese enterprises wish to export, and send them online to the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of these two provinces to continue to introduce to member businesses.
In Tabuk, the delegation also visited Fahad bin Sultan University and a farm.
Tabuk and Al Jouf provinces are adjacent to each other, located in the Northwest and North of Saudi Arabia, about 1,400 km from the capital Riyadh./.
