700-bed field hospital in Da Nang being completed

After some days of construction with the participation of hundreds of workers, the field hospital at Tien Son Sports Palace in Da Nang City has been formed and is going into the completion stage.
On August 4, workers are urgently installing electrical systems, hospital beds, wardrobes, information cables, ventilation fans for the field hospital.
After the completion of construction, a system of medical equipment will be installed and disinfected to help treat COVID-19 patients.
Construction on the field hospital was started on August 1. The hospital is planned to have 700 beds and is used to treat minor COVID-19 patients. If necessary, the hospital will increase to 1,000 beds.

Besides, workers are mobilized to clean the hospital
Tien Son Sports Palace has 6,500 seats, including two basements and 4 floors, with an area of more than 10,000 m2. In 2017, this palace was invested with 84 billion VND to upgrade to serve the APEC Summit.
