Volunteer blood donors honoured in Binh Lieu district

In order to honour the good deeds of those who have donated their blood to save patients, Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province on July 20 organized a ceremony to honour typical blood donors and launched the voluntary blood donation campaign 2013.

Over the past time, Binh Lieu district has well communicated and mobilized people, especially young people, to participate in voluntary blood donation in support of critical emergency cases.

In 2012, the blood bank club and over 150 volunteers donated hundreds of blood units, of which 59 blood units were directly donated to save patients in the district.

At the ceremony, five individuals were honoured and awarded.

To maintain an adequate amount of blood to serve emergency and treatment, at the ceremony, Binh Lieu district launched the voluntary blood donation campaign 2013.

Right after the launch ceremony, nearly 200 volunteers in the district registered to donate blood and 93 blood units were collected at the event./.
