Apart from beauty spots, Ha Long bay is also famous for its diverse ecosystem with many species unique to this place. With thousands of limestone islands and lakes inside the islands, Ha Long bay is home to over 200 kinds of fish and 450 kinds of molluscs and diverse other kinds of animals, including monkeys.

With thick fur, it is brown on the back and grey on the shoulders.

The colour is strongest on the buttocks and thighs.

They are white on the belly.

Each monkey weighs from 5-15 kilograms.

Their tails are long.

Their bodies are 30-60 centimetres in length.

Monkeys on Ha Long Bay often live in groups.

Highly intelligent, they often live on the cliffs of the mountainous islands
                                                 on the bay.

In Luong Cave on Ha Long Bay, viewing the monkeys has become a tourism product that tourists cannot miss when coming here.
