Intensifying management of tourism and business environment in Quang Ninh

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, management of tourism and business environment in the province saw initial improvements. From October 2012 to June 2013, the inspector of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received and dealt with 356 queries and punished administrative violations on 49 tourism businesses, two travel agencies and 16 tourist guides.

Aiming for a healthier tourism and business environment, the meeting proposed some solutions, especially proposals for the pilot establishment of a tourism police office responsible for ensuring security and order.

At the meeting, representatives from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared experiences on managing tourism and business environment in the central coastal city of Da Nang.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Ms Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee, recognised and awarded achievements in managing tourism and business environment after one year of implementing Decree 11. She revealed shortcomings such as hygiene environment in onshore destinations, prices, tourism products and tourism infrastructure./.
