"VND1,000 house" inaugurated in Mong Cai

The total expenditure for building the house is VND280 million, of which the “VND1,000 house" fund supports VND40 million. The “VND1,000 house" movement, launched by the Mong Cai Youth Union since October 2012, has received enthusiastic support from young people in the city with practical action: each member of the youth union saves VND1,000 every day to contribute to building houses for former volunteers. So far, the movement has achieved positive results and created a powerful force spreading among youth.

The inauguration and handover the “VND1,000 house" on the occasion of the Day for Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers (July 27), has more significance, representing profound gratitude to those who have contributed to the country.

Mong Cai city now has 886 policy beneficiaries. On the occasion of the 66^th anniversary of the Day for Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers (July 27), the city has carried out many meaningful activities such as visiting and presenting gifts to families of martyrs and wounded soldiers, repairing the martyrs’ cemetery and lighting candles as tribute to all heroes at martyrs’ cemeteries in the city./.
