Ha Long city puts 106 wireless internet stations into operation

So far 106 wireless internet stations have been put into operation in Ha Long city with good signal of internet, satisfying the demand of people, tourists and enterprises’ operations.
The operation of the stations is part of the project to build the wireless internet system in the city being conducted by the provincial Department of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), VNPT Technology Joint Stock Company and the Quang Ninh communications industry.
Started in April 2012, the project is now on its second phase.
As planned, the province will provide wireless internet in all cities and towns with a total capital of some VND200 billion, according to Le Minh Ky, head of the posts and telecommunications bureau under the provincial Department of Information and Communications.
In Co To island district, tourists and people enjoy free wireless internet with the system completed in January 2012 with 60 stations./.
