(CPV) - Tien Yen regional general hospital, a 3rd level health care unit, has 140 patient beds. Overcoming the shortage in human resources, it regularly enhances the medical ethics and quality in modern medical machines, thus becoming a good destination for the people.

The hospital still faces some problems in carrying out new technologies and setting up new departments. In the last several years, it deployed a lot of doctors and nurses to short courses in upper-level hospitals. Thanks to these, digestive endoscopy with fiberscope, eye vision surgery, surgery by laparoscopy, electroencephalography, operating modern machineries have been acknowledged by Tien Yen regional general hospital’s doctors and nurses.

Besides, it teaches medical ethics, the Hippocratic Oath, commitments on practicing medicine honestly, bonus and fine rules clearly, and announces hotline to receiving complaints and comments from patients and relatives.

In order to meet demand of the people, the hospital purchases modern health care machines like 4D ultrasound, CT-scanner, air anaesthesia with breathing, endoscopic surgery kits, biochemical truss ELISA, patients track monitoring, and multi-purpose emergency beds.

The advantages in administrative procedures reform and information technology application have contributed to improving the quality in patient care, as well as accurately updated guidance/commands from leaders.

So far, the hospital has run 840/888 technical operations as a 3rd level health care unit. Each year, it checked nearly 30,000 patients, 7,000 inbound patients, served over 1,600 emergency injuries, poisoning, and deadly serious illness.

“In the upcoming time, the hospital will continue to enhance medical ethics and patient care quality. Satisfaction levels of patients and their relatives are the best measures for us. Our target is to become a 2nd level health care unit in 2015”, said doctor Nguyen Van Cuong, director of Tien Yen regional general hospital.

In the first six months of 2013, as many as over 14,000 people have been examined, a 101.5% increase in compare to the same period last year, and over 3,700 patients treated (up 117.1% from the same period of 2012), with 380 operations conducted.

People from surrounding areas such as Ba Che, Dam Ha and Binh Lieu districts have selected the hospital as their destination, thus helping room capacity reach 99.2%./.
