Family power saving program launched in Ha Long

At the launch ceremony, the Quang Ninh power company signed an agreement with representatives of wards in Ha Long city to carry out the program.

Accordingly, the program will be applied for families living and working in Ha Long city. Households joining the program use power for daily living and have not changed the purpose of the use of electricity and the contents of the signed power use and purchase contract from January 2012 to now.

For three consecutive months, August, September and October 2013, the households must save at least 10% of power consumption amount compared to the same period in 2012. The household saving the most will be awarded by the Quang Ninh power company.

Through the program, the Quang Ninh power company believes that Ha Long city will become a highlight in power saving communication, and then it can be disseminate to other localities in the province, creating a common movement in the community to help protect the environment, and build sustainable development for the future. This activity also aims at raising awareness about saving power among households and sharing with the electrical sector in supplying power./.
