Project bringing power to Co To Island expected complete by mid-October

The Electricity of Quang Ninh province has said that the work on the project to bring power to Co To Island district is being actively carried out, and should be complete by mid-October.

In particular, of 192 poles for the 110kV and 22kV electricity line, 126 poles have had foundations and 47 poles have been set up. With the 110kV electricity and transformer stations, 64 of 84 positions’ foundations have been completed, while 39 poles have been constructed.
Meanwhile, the building of the 22kV underground transoceanic cable system is expected to be completed on October 15.
On August 1, while inspecting the progress of the project, Do Thong, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee praised the efforts of investors, contractors and localities in carrying out the project, asking them to overcome the inconvenient weather conditions to ensure that the project will be completed on schedule.
He stressed that the building of the underground transoceanic cable system was of the greatest importance and must be completed at highest quality.
He noted that the project held great political and economic significance for the province in general and for the island in particular, especially the significance of celebrating the 50th year since the establishment of the province. Therefore, work must be ensured so that the project could be put into operation on time./.
