Six children from Quang Ninh province join National Children’s Forum 2013

(CPV) - The National Children’s Forum 2013 themed “Children’s feedback on the revised Law on Child Protection, Care and Education” is organized by the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the National Assembly Committee on Culture, Education, Youth and Children, on August 8 - 9 in Hanoi.

The event gathers 180 children, aged from 10 to 16 from 29 provinces and cities nationwide. Of which, Quang Ninh province has six children.

The forum is a venue for children to express their opinions on necessary changes to the Law on Child Protection, Care and Education. They are also provided information and assess the implementation by related ministries and sectors of their recommendations and messages through previous forums.

After the forum, their recommendations and messages will be also sent to the agencies, policy makers, the Drafting Committee and the Editorial Board on amendment of the Law on Child Protection, Care and Education to research to implement policies suitable with children’s aspirations.

It is known that Quang Ninh province has 10 out of 14 districts, towns and cities, which have organized children's forums 2013 and attracted the participation of thousands of children.

The provincial Children’s Forum 2013 will be held at the end of August 2013./.
