Over 19,000 traffic law violations dealt with

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of the northern province of Quang Ninh, in July, authorised forces inspected and dealt with over 19,000 traffic law violations, administering fines of over VND10 billion.
Of the violators, 8,500 were not wearing helmets and 66 involved alcohol.
Some 744 vehicles were temporarily seized and 576 driving licenses were revoked for violating traffic laws.
The results were brought about thanks to efforts to deal with speed violation for transport enterprises and drivers, and check on safety conditions of waterway vehicles by agencies and enterprises carrying cadres and staff to work.
In addition, the authorised agencies continued to inspect violations of traffic laws for official cars and those with foreign license numbers, waterway means of transport of passengers and containers of oil on waterway transport./.
