Quang Ninh province welcomes a safe and economical Tet

According to reports by districts, towns and cities across the northern province of Quang Ninh, they have experienced a safe, economical, happy and healthy lunar New Year festival (Tet).

Earlier, to ensure that all people have Tet, especially social beneficiaries, the provincial People’s Committee earmarked nearly VND40 billion to assist over 195,200 people who are collectives, individuals, revolutionary contributors and social beneficiaries.

Departments, unions, agencies, relevant forces and People’s Committees at all levels organized activities to welcome the New Year and celebrate the 84^th celebration of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), including cultural and sports activities and traditional festivals.

Eight of 14 districts, towns and cities organized fireworks performance, of which high range fireworks were set off in Uong Bi city. The capital for fireworks was mobilized from society, not using State budget. The fireworks performance brought happiness and impetus for people as the New Year came. It also took place in completely safe way without any fire occurring and harming people, vehicles or property.

In terms of Tet goods, there were reported no price hikes of goods at the market during Tet. Earlier, the provincial People’s Committee put aside VND25 billion for goods price stabilization. Accordingly, enterprises opened up 40 places for price stabilization goods.

Safety and social order was also maintained during Tet. However, the province reported 3 traffic accidents, killing 2 people and injuring 3 others./.
