Uncle Ho memorial in Dong Trieu district recognized as provincial relics

On February 6, Dong Trieu district Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to receive provincial recognition for the Uncle Ho memorial in Hong Thai Tay commune.
The historical relic was the place where Uncle Ho visited the secondary school and talked with people in Pham Hong Thai commune (Hong Thai Tay commune in Dong Trieu district) on February 2, 1965.
Uncle Ho asked local people to plant trees for a beautiful and prosperous homeland. The relic consists of two rows of classrooms where Uncle Ho had a meal and a rest, and stood to talk with people in the commune.
In 1990, Dong Trieu district People’s Committee assigned Dong Trieu district Department of Education and Training to manage. So far, the Uncle memorial in Hong Thai Tay commune has been upgraded and planted with peach and yellow apricot.
The memorial has become a cultural centre for activities to commemorate Uncle Ho, organize political and cultural activities to meet demand, expectation and sentiment of people in Dong Trong for beloved Uncle Ho.
On January 23, Quang Ninh provincial issued a decision to recognize the site as a provincial relics./.
