Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism works with Quang Ninh province

On February 7, Hoang Tuan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, worked with Quang Ninh province about culture, sports and tourism affairs and the management of festivals in 2014.

The working session drew the participation of vice secretary of Quang Ninh provincial Party Committee and chairman of Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc, and vice chairwoman of Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, Vu Thi Thu Thuy.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh made field trips to inspect the management of Yen Tu spring festival. The festival opened on the first day of the first lunar month (January 31). It has attracted more than 150,000 visitors, including nearly 1,000 foreign tourists.

At the working session, leaders of Quang Ninh province reported on the socio-economic situation and results of culture, sports and tourism work in the province and proposals to the ministry.

There are 626 relics in the province, including three national special relics and 60 national relics.

Minister Hoang Tuan Anh appreciated the management, preservation and promotion of Yen Tu relic sites, as well as the festival management. He also asked the festival management board to pay attention to fire prevention and environmental hygiene./.
