Quang Ninh’s export turnover passes USD111 million in January

Quang Ninh’s total export turnover and foreign currency revenue trade service in January 2014 reached an estimated USD111.9 million, 55 percent of the year’s target and a 0.8 percent rise over a year earlier, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Commodities enjoying an export turnover rise over the same month last year were pine tar (77.1 percent), clothes (110 percent), vegetable oil (111 percent), shoes (212 percent), candles (74.3 percent) and chemical fibre (22.5 percent).
In the first month this year, import turnover in the province was estimated at USD87 million, 7.53 percent of the year’s target and up 8.85 percent over a year previous.
Temporarily importing and re-exporting activities were valued at USD260 million, 8.59 percent of the year’s target and up 6.12 percent over a year earlier./.
