San Chi ethnic culture and sports festival in Quang Ninh province

When spring comes, the cultural and sports festival of the San Chi ethnic minority group takes place in Tien Yen district, the northern province of Quang Ninh.

This year’s festival was held in Dai Duc commune with the participation of eight delegations from villages in the commune.

The event showed solidarity among ethnic minority groups, and honoured the cultural values of the San Chi ethnic minority group in the district.The festival also helped to improve ethnic people’s awareness of preserving traditional fine culture and enriching the national culture.Rituals at the festival pray for good crops and weather. In addition, folk games of the San Chi people were also held during the festival. Visitors to the festival also enjoyed traditional songs performed by San Chi people.
