Quang Ninh provincial leader joins new year meeting with retired cadres

On February 13, the retired cadres’ club in Ha Long city held a new year meeting and wished longevity for elderly members, with the presence of Ngyen Van Doc, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee.

During the meeting, retired cadres reviewed the province’s socio-economic achievements in 2013, and worked out orientations for the club’s operation in 2014, in which they focused on encouraging their children to obey the State laws, help each other in developing domestic economy, visit sick members, and organize meeting to receive ideas for national development.
Speaking during the meeting, Nguyen Van Doc said he hoped retired cadres would lead a healthy and happy life, continuing to contribute intellectually and through their experience in provincial and national socio-economic development.
He also briefed some important socio-economic development achievements of the province, confirming that the achievements marked the contributions from sectors, political unions, enterprises, people and retired cadres.
He added that the province would focus on investing in developing infrastructure, human resources, administrative reform, and supporting enterprises.
During the meeting, Mr. Doc awarded the club VND10 million as presents./.
