During a working meeting with Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, relevant sides said that the project would be carried out with a total capital of VND310 billion.
The five island communes are Ban Sen, Thang Loi, Ngoc Vung, Minh Chau and Quan Lan.
So far the province has completed 9 key electricity supply projects, effectively serving socio-economic development and ensuring provincial security and defence. Most notable are the projects to bring power to Co To island district and to rural areas, contributing to raising the rate of families with access to power to 98%, making the province a national leader on this criterion.
To make the power systems more effective and to help the province become a modern industrial province by 2015, Mr. Doc asked the NPC to continue to bring power to island communes where residents lack access to power, and increase the quality of power use for key areas of the province./.
